Fab Technician III - Geo
1st Shift
Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to be able to perform the job duties listed below.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
- Fabricates doors and frames for vinyl extrusions using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, saws, vertical welders, corner cleaners, double miter saws, etc.
, as well as milling machines. - Identifies and tags material with a written symbol for assembly and inspection.
- Comprehends and completes fabrication on a sequence of operations.
- Fit and assemble components.
- Performs all general production work as required.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- High School diploma/GED (minimum)
- Must have at least two years of manufacturing experience preferably in a fabrication or production environment
- Job requires constant lifting in excess of 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of ten (10) hour period of time
- Job requires stooping, bending and kneeling
- Good math skills
- Carpentry experience a plus
- Able to read a tape measure and use of Miter Saws to get correct angles
- Be vigilant about safety
- Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
