QA Automation Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure the quality of Web, Mobile, and Server components through thorough testing. Apply testing Best Practices while contributing to Automated Acceptance, Regression, and Integration Testing. Monitor app quality, and build statuses in a CI environment. Maintain and contribute to a robust set of automated tests, built with Ruby and Cucumber around a page object model. Actively participate in, and contribute to, all Agile (SCRUM) rituals.
Fundamental Components:
Provide Testing/Quality expertise to support Feature Teams.
Maintains a high level of application quality in a CI environment
Include QA effort, as part of story estimation and planning.
Contributes to defining, developing, and maintaining test inventory, and test plans through sprint, and release cycles.
Validates results of test execution and actual vs. expected results
Identifies, maintains, and requests appropriate data as needed, based on testing requirements.
Provides cross training of application/technical knowledge to other individuals within the QA organization.
Creates opportunities to develop individual personal and professional skills
Defines, develops, and maintains test scripts
Executes test plans and test scripts
Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests and actively participates in resolution
Represents QA at Team Standups to communicate status, defects for responsible area, assess impacts and provide input into schedule revisions at both project and release level
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

years software project life cycle experience with concentration in quality assurance.In depth knowledge of Ruby, Selenium, and Cucumber
Experience with Appium, Robotium, Selendroid, or other Mobile Automation Tools a plus.
Experience testing mobile and web clients, and APIs
Experience working in an agile (SCRUM) environment
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
