Regional Sales Manager

Eaton's B-Line Division is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager will work out of remote office in one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Colorado.
Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the attainment of overall sales objectives for the B-Line product portfolio within the Pac Northwest territory. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and executing growth plans, incorporating distributor personnel, assigned manufacturer's reps, and contractors, and tracking progress to meet expected growth goals. He/she is also responsible for driving opportunities that assist B-Line in achieving the division goals leveraging the Eaton sales teams/channels.
This position requires the incumbent to leverage internal and external resources, drive products and the channel to market in order to achieve market share gains, support price attainment goals and implement strategic initiatives throughout the assigned territory. It is essential to understand major competitors' tactics, organization, distribution strategy, and pricing while keeping management informed of trends and changes.
The incumbent will successfully achieve sales targets while maintaining quality standards and controlling expenses. Key attributes of the ideal candidate include an individual who is motivated, hardworking and has prior sales experience with a track record of success. This individual will be an effective communicator who can provide reliable forecasting and clear reporting, able to manage project plans, schedules and resources to meet milestones and objectives while remaining within established budgets.

Responsibilities:
Sales Efforts
Plans and directs the efforts of sales agents in securing sales volume in accordance with the prescribed objectives or goals.
Develop and implement products promotions.
Develop and drive new product sales.
Develop and implement conversion plans.
Assists sales agents and distributors at appropriate intervals as required, and provides particular expertise or influence in key situations.
Develops and maintains liaison with top management of national or regional facilities of key accounts located within the territory.
Analyzes sales levels and trends, and initiates action as necessary to ensure attainment of sales objectives.
2. Development
Develops and maintains a group of rep agencies and distributors.
Responsible for initiating and implementing training for reps and distributors.
Development of programs to maintain and improve the sales.
Technical Assistance
Understands and demonstrates the features and benefits of the full line of B-Line support products, including training others on product usage and applications.
Ensures appropriate technical assistance regarding product applications to engineering consultants, OEM, users, inspection and standards personnel, contractors, etc.
Market and Product Information
Informs the Division of business and product trends and competitive conditions within the region.
Recommends new or modified programs to ensure a competitive position is maintained within the sales territory.
Supports the strategic planning process through understanding and effective communication of customer needs.
Management Coordination and Reporting
Coordinates sales activities with production, distribution, engineering, marketing, and finance departments to achieve territory sales objectives.
Evaluates and recommends operational improvements and responsible for maintaining and improving pricing in accordance with company objectives.
Helps to coordinate activities and resolve internal problems that can negatively impact customers, including issues related to manufacturing, scheduling, delivery and billing
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial/Construction Sales and/or Marketing
Must possess and maintain a valid & unrestricted driver's license
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates being considered must reside in one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Colorado.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a focus on Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Business
Minimum 7 years of experience in Industrial/Construction Sales and/or Marketing
Previously managed manufacturer's reps
