Job Summary
Denver Health Medical Center in conjunction with the University of Colorado School of Medicine is recruiting for a Division Head of Cardiology to join our collaborative and collegial team of physicians in Denver, CO. This academic leadership role will entail leadership, education, scholarship and clinical duties in clinical cardiology. The preferred candidate will have at least five years of experience. This position is also responsible for duties as a general cardiologist. Activities include over-reading stress tests, ECG and remote monitoring interpretation, and clinical cardiology services (inpatient and outpatient).
Denver Health's Cardiology Division is an integrated clinical program with the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine. This position includes supervision of cardiology fellows. Faculty academic rank at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible to be considered. This position is:
25% administrative.

The successful candidate will have completed a terminal medical degree (e.g. MD or DO) be board certified, have a minimum of five years of experience, as well as have a demonstrated desire and ability in the practice of non-invasive cardiology.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from an Accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Programs and fellowships for specialist, or equivalent. Equivalent training for those Physicians who are not U.S. residency trained. New finishing residents generally are not expected to be Board Certified but should be Board Certified within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the office of Medical Administration.
Experience:
Requirements will be determined on a position by position basis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care. Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications. Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills. Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. Performs in a tactful and professional manner. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Certificate/License/Registration:
Medical license to practice in State of Colorado. All physicians must be board certified within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the office of Medical Administration. BLS/CPR. ACLS, PALS, or NRP as outlined in HR Principles and Practices #2-110 Appendix, Maintaining Licensures, Certifications, and Registrations. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
