The Superintendent of Field Operations will work with the Director of Construction to oversee and ensure success of all IME projects in Colorado. This position requires close pre-planning and communication with the Operations, Field and Administrative teams. Candidate will be a Colorado state licensed Journeyman Electrician with large industrial and commercial experience. Candidate will have a proven history of producing quality work to contribute towards client satisfaction and high safety standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct job walks.
Conduct CTC walks.
Provide coaching to promising employees in the field.
Ability to evaluate schedules.
Promote preplanning with all projects and help those with learning planning.
Ability to recognize and report issues on job sites.
Strong leadership abilities, with humility.
Assist with scheduling and all manpower needs.
Assist in the development of best QA/QC practices and implement on a project specific and overall basis, and hold the field accountable on QA/QC.
Assist in the development and implementation of project close-out procedures.
Create and administer project assessment review.
Train and evaluate project team members.
Ensure all installations meet project specifications, quality and NEC standards.
Ensure adherence to standards of quality, cost control, scheduling, safety and best practices.
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, owner's details and specs with a strong understanding of work, prints and bids.
Conduct regular project audits of quality and productivity and generate audit reports
Track, maintain and report progress, daily logs/reports, safety meetings and QA/QC details consistently.
Train and evaluate employees, adhere to and support the company training program and make recommendations to hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions.
Work as a liaison between site crews, office administration and management.
Assess and implement cost reduction and increased productivity practices.
Assist in development of project execution plans.
Inspect as-built drawings to be submitted for project turnover.
Develop strong working relationships with NECA and IBEW Local 68.
Qualifications
The Field Superintendent will have strong computer skills (MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, Adobe); possess an excellent understanding of the electrical industry.
Candidate will be motivated; detail oriented, and will possess strong interpersonal skills to work in a diverse, dynamic, and fast paced environment.
Candidate must be self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in IME's business strategies.
Must communicate information and state problems of challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner, and be able to provide clarification as necessary.
Previous supervisory experience.
Must have strong knowledge and ability to interpret the latest version of the National Electrical Code.
Must be willing to travel as needed.
Ability to read civil, mechanical, architectural, structural, and electrical blueprints, as well as all drawings associated with commercial construction.
Working Conditions:
Job requires working on your feet, 8 to 10 hours daily up to 6 days a week.
Candidate will be expected to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
Work from all types of ladders, stepladders up to 14', A frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
Wear personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, earplugs and respirators).
Follow special procedures including contamination control, noise control, building systems awareness and procedures.
Candidate must be able to work night shifts and mid shifts, as required by customers.
Respond to short notice overtime requirements.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
