Information Security Associate

Defend information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording or destruction
Maintain security systems and administer security policies to control access to systems
Evaluates security exposures and threats to determine the level of security necessary to protect the information systems
Interface with user community to understand security needs and implement procedures to accommodate them
Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security
Vulnerability detection, assessment, and mitigation
Monitor security infrastructure to ensure confidentiality, integrity & availability of system
Collaborate with IT supervisor, and other team members to manage security vulnerabilities
Provide detection and response to security events and incidents within the network
Conduct risk assessments, sys security certs, compliance audits, & doc results, make recommendations
Provide status reports on security matters and response procedures
Research IT security issues
At least 5 years active duty or DoD contractor related experience in acquisition security information assurance, certification & accreditation and acquisition administrative security services career field. Must possess strong writing skills and ability to manage multiple on-going processes. MS Office suite of tools experience required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
