Informix Development and Production DBA

Work with IT staff and users of existing and proposed systems
Design and construct new databases focusing on data integrity/data integration
Maintain existing databases with focus on data integration
Perform database modeling using both logical and physical models
Monitor disk space and performance of database systems
Report and monitor all databases to maintain smooth operation
Immediately respond to emergency situations ensuring speedy recovery of data and user connectivity
Participate in team design, analysis, development, test and maintenance
Test and learn new development technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server and share key learning points with fellow IT Professionals
Evaluate new database software to ascertain best product and methodology
Provide staff authority for database development
Maintain balance between application performance, user efficiency and data integrity in the development and production environmentsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
