Back-End Web Developer

We are a rapidly growing creative agency seeking a mid-level web developer comfortable with server side MVC PHP development, Javascript development, and CMS configuration/maintenance. Experience with ExpressionEngine is preferred, but is not a requirement. This is a part time, contract opportunity. Please provide code samples / github / etc. for consideration.
What youll be doing:
You will primarily work with a small team to assist in development of MVC based web applications/websites. The majority of the applications you will contribute to are AJAX based web applications built on top of the ExpressionEngine / CodeIgniter framework.
Skills and
Experience:
Able to work with a number of MVC Frameworks and write strong scalable PHP
Comfortable with AJAX based web application development
Comfortable with JS development (knowledgeable of native Javascript development as well as common Javascript libraries: jQuery, Underscore, etc)
Comfortable with light system administration on RHEL/Debian based Distros
Experience with latest social networking technologies/APIs
Experience with latest payment gateway APIs (Braintree/Paypal)
Strong communication skills and comfortable working remotely
Ideally:
Experience with CodeIgniter / ExpressionEngine / Drupal PHP Frameworks
Experience working on scalable/load balanced web applications
Ability to write and performance optimize SQL queries for MySQL
Experience with modern technologies such as Node, Backbone, Angular, REST, Redis
Familiarity with NginxEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
