POSITION SUMMARY: The Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for collaborating with the Chamber Director of Communications and Marketing to establish planning, development and implementation of all of the Leadership Foundation's communications, marketing strategies, social media and public relations activities, both external and internal. This role executes marketing efforts and coordinates, at the strategic and tactical levels, with the other functions of the organization and ensures alignment with chamber-wide communications initiatives. We are looking for a creative, highly-skilled, highly-motivated individual, with a commitment to civic engagement and engaging the business community through creative marketing strategies. Applicants must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with board committees to develop, execute and measure effectiveness of a comprehensive branding, communications, marketing and public relations program that will enhance the Leadership Foundation's image and position within the community. Responsible for articulating a consistent image and position throughout the organization when communicating to all constituencies, both internal and external. Responsible for executing editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Leadership Foundation publications. Oversee the appearance of all Leadership Foundation print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc. Coordinate public relations efforts, including pitching the media, placing stories, and preparation of the Executive Director for media requests. Write monthly newsletter and speeches for the Executive Director. Oversee rebranding efforts and website design to ensure the organization's outward image is reflective of the vision. In collaboration with the Chamber's Director of Communications and Marketing, develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/public relations program and its activities, monitor progress and evaluate performance. Work collaboratively with Program Managers to ensure that all programs are creatively and effectively marketed. Write and edit all internal and external communications, promotional materials, website, publications, and program materials. Develop and implement organization's social media strategy. Ensure alignment and coordination with Chamber communications department. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related area of study. EXPERIENCE: Three- to five-years of experience in communications/public relations and/or marketing. Demonstrated experience in coordinating a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing and communications plan to advance an organization's mission and goals. Extensive successful writing and editing experience (externally focused) with a variety of print and online communications media. Experience with developing, implementing, measuring, and monitoring the success of social media campaigns. Experience with branding, co-branding and managing a brand, including graphic design experience. Experience in building and coaching direct reports. SKILLS: Must have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills and be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Should have public speaking skills in order to make presentations to key stakeholders and groups and interface with Board of Directors. Must possess ability to interact with high-level business and community leaders. Requires an energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
