Real Estate Paralegal, Renewable Investments - USA

We are seeking a real estate paralegal to join a renewable energy business.
The ideal applicant will provide real estate, transactional and administrative support to multiple cross-functional teams, including project finance and development teams, with an emphasis on real estate closings and title curative work.
As a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the USA, our client has acquired or developed approximately 10 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 70 renewable energy projects in 24 states.
The paralegal will become part of a small, highly skilled team responsible for supporting a portfolio of wind, solar and energy storage projects in an inclusive, collaborative and engaging environment that values thoughtful problem-solving and attention to detail.
Other duties include:
Ordering and reviewing title commitments, exception documents, and ALTA surveys.
Interfacing directly with title companies and surveyors to resolve any issues or discrepancies and obtaining revised title commitments, title insurance pro formas, and final surveys as deliverables for financing or closing transactions.
Preparing and coordinating the execution and coordination of real estate agreements, including lease and easement agreements along with associated memoranda, amendments, and terminations.
Handling landowner estoppels, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, and various other land, title, and curative documents.
Coordinating, tracking, and reporting on the execution of projects, including title searches and title curative work.
Tracking project status reporting for a pipeline of real estate properties proposed or under option for project sites.
Conducting analysis, coordination, and procurement of crossing consents and crossing agreements with third parties, including conveying and drafting compliance requirements to construction teams and contractors.
Preparing and administering contract critical dates, electronic calendaring, and closing checklists, in addition to coordinating and assisting with all aspects of closings.
To be suitable for this role you must possess a bachelor's degree in any field of study and at least three to seven years of real estate paralegal experience with an in-house legal department or law firm.
A proven track record of closing complex multi-parcel real estate projects or similar transactions, as well as proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents, is required.
A willingness to take initiative and solve problems efficiently is critical for this role, as is the ability to successfully manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
Applicants with transactional experience, familiarity with closing mechanics and documentation, knowledge of title insurance, and the ability to summarize legal documents and contracts will excel in this role.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, keen analytical acumen, and excellent time management are highly sought after.
We seek service-oriented individuals who can adapt quickly and communicate effectively with team members, other internal departments, and external counterparties.
Previous experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not essential.
