The Senior Network Engineer will work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment to design and support our global Backbone and Internet Edge. The position requires deep knowledge of and experience in protocols and systems used within Content or Service Provider Networks.
Key Qualifications6 to 8 years Network Engineering or Operations experienceExperience in operating a large scale network utilizing BGP, RSVP-TE, MPLS, VPNs, ISIS and/or OSPFExperience with documentation of Network Design and Test PlansExperience and knowledge of BGP Routing Policies and Internet PeeringExtensive knowledge of at least one vendor Network Operating System:
JUNOS, SR-OS, EOS or IOS-XR are requiredExperience with one of the following programming languages is a plus:
Python, Rust, Go or CExperience and knowledge of capacity planning and budget planningDescriptionThe Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for design, testing, documentation, training and operation of new and existing network hardware, software and supporting systems that are deployed within the Global Backbone and Internet Edge. The engineer will also be responsible for capacity planning and budgeting of network hardware and systems intended to be deployed in the network. They will need to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate closely with colleagues in Operations, Engineering and Architecture. In addition, the Senior Network Engineer will work across other, cross-functional groups and have the ability and willingness to mentor others.
Education & ExperienceCollege degree (BA or BS) or relevant experience; technical degree preferred
Advanced Network Certifications preferred
Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,400.00 and $254,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
