We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst III to join our high-performing team in the energy sector. The successful candidate will play a significant role in shaping our financial future and strategy as we continue to grow. The Financial Analyst III will work closely with various departments, assisting line managers in strategic decision-making by providing financial expertise. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with a team, and is ready to take their career to the next level in the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the FP&A processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.2. Provide insightful financial analyses for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and cost-saving opportunities.3. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making related to complex business issues.4. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.5. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.6. Utilize Power BI to analyze and present data effectively.7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and business trends, comparing findings to the budget and financial forecasts.8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide valuable input into business decisions based on the analysis of financial trends and performance.9. Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for all areas of the organization.10. Perform ad-hoc projects and analyses as requested by senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree such as an MBA will be an added advantage.2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.3. Prior experience within the energy sector is highly desirable.4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and financial statement analysis.5. Proficiency in financial modeling and experience using Power BI.6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.7. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel.8. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.9. High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel. Advanced knowledge of financial modeling techniques.10.
