Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting bakery items and provide excellent customer service - Package and label bakery products for display and sale - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery department - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures - Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately - Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness - Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed Skills:
- Strong sales skills to effectively promote bakery products - Knowledge of kitchen equipment and basic food preparation techniques - Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Proficiency in retail math for accurate pricing and calculations - Experience with bussing tables or cleaning dining areas is a plus - Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software is preferred - Culinary background or experience in the food industry is a bonus As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department.
