You will be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, applying risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring timely completion of operations while utilizing critical thinking and organizational management skills.

Project or program management is essential to the success of this position as you and your team will be supporting over 15 different USGS initiatives, so having at least 4
years of that experience is important.
You've developed a successful career by blending your passions of GIS and software development and ready to provide your expertise to others as they enhance USGS' The National Map --- at least 8 years of related experience.
You consider yourself well-organized and people-oriented through managing complex / multiple contracts / programs at one time.
You believe in a good education and have successfully obtained a Bachelors in GIS, IT, Program Management, or similar.
You appreciate face-to-face communication with your team and on-site visits a few times a week.
As either a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of at least 3 years, you will need to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
