Senior HP Nonstop Engineer

Description This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations:
St.
Petersburg, FL, Memphis, TN, Southfield, MI, or Denver, CO.

Summary:
This role will support our Cost Basis and Tax Reporting applications.
As a Senior Engineer, you will have a key role in the detailed technical design, development, and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Analyzes complex system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub-systems.
Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.
Leads or participates in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities.
Remains current with new technologies.
Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.
Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
Assists in preparing project plans using project management tools.
Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Skills and
Experience:
_Required Skills_ Strong technical background in HPNonStop technologies (COBOL, SQL, TAL TACL and TMF) Financial Services Experience, tax reporting or cost basis specific knowledge is a plus_Preffered Skills, willing to train:

NET Experience Experience in working with SSIS Packages and SSRS Reports Experience in working with applications using SQL Server and Oracle database Experience in working with PL/SQL or T-SQL Knowledge and Exposure to J2EE professional enterprise setting.
Knowledge and Exposure REST-based services Knowledge and Exposure to messaging platforms (e.
g.
, IBM MQ) is a plus.
Knowledge and Exposure to CI/CD practices using GIT, Genesis and Jenkins is a plus Knowledge in ETL/Data Integration tools (e.
g.
, ODI, SSIS) is a plus.
Knowledge in Splunk and Dynatrace is a plus.
Knowledge in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid software development methodologies.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and three to five (3-5) years of related experience or combination of education, training and experience.
