Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a RAN Release Manager, you will be part of Dish's Release Management team.
The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the release of hardware, software and configuration activities using agile principles and methodologies.
This position will drive technical release functions throughout the release management lifecycle; from development, lab, pre-prod to Production.
This role will have visibility in the organization to help deliver and maintain the best-in-class 5G operational network.
In this role, you will:
Accountable for the coordination and success of interdependent or singular releases Responsible for approving releases and the progression in testing environments Work closely with multiple Vendors, mainly RAN product vendors and cloud platform vendors (AWS, VMWare) for Tier-IV - Product/ R&D support Responsible for SW Deployments/ New HW/ SW changes and updates Work in close collaboration across multiple functions within Dish:
RF, Deployment & Integration teams, Tech Dev, Core, Cloud Infra, Network Engineering and National NOC Accountable for coordinating operational handoff when implementing new releases Subject Matter Expert of Non-Production Environments and release activity required to support testing.
Responsible for coordinating Go-Live activities to deploy the software Responsible for coordinating with support teams for releases Responsible for reporting on the metrics around the release process (timing, defects) Skills, Experience and RequirementsRAN Release Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree 8
years of Project Management experience Working knowledge of software development lifecycle Experience in RAN technologies 4G, 5G (SA preferred) including VoLTE and VoNR, 3GPP and ORAN standards Understanding of LTE, VoLTE, and 5G VoNR L2/L3 call flows with ability to understand and analyze traces (packet captures, GNB traces) Understanding of 5G functional components (Core, RAN, Network, Transport, PaaS and gNB configurations).
Not required, but cross function domain knowledge is a plus Ability to multitask, meet objectives, and solve issues in stressful situations with high speed of completion and high degree of accuracy.
Ability to use ticket tracking services such as Jira and ServiceNow.
Ability to grasp higher-level technology concepts.
Ability to span departments to assist in release candidate Implementation.
Experience analyzing wireless networks, related equipment, and/or performance.
Ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge across Telco services domains.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

$100,100.
00/Year - $143,000.

The base pay range shown is a guideline.
Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
