Project Scientist

SECTOR OVERVIEW Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects. POSITION SUMMARY TRC is seeking aProject Scientistfor our Lakewood, CO office. This position will work on various public and private projects throughout the Colorado region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Inspection for asbestos, mold, PCBs and other regulated materials. Water intrusion investigation and or water leak investigation using TRC Mobile Data solutions app(s). Perform project oversight and coordination with contractors. Prepare project chain of custody. Prepare project daily logs. Interact between client and contractors. Work with regulatory agencies. Read project specifications and drawings. Prepare reports. 30% travel is required QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Requires 5
years of experience writing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Must have a current CDPHE Asbestos Inspector Certification Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist certification is preferred. Must be able to read project specifications and drawings. Must be a good communicator and a team player. Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
