Position Summary The IT Operations Manager - Software Asset Management is responsible for managing all aspects of Xcel Energy's Software Assets including licensing, vendor management, and compliance. This person will lead quarterly and annual reviews of products, guide the members of the team, and keep business area's apprised of any updates. They provide consultation to ensure alignment and achievement of plans and IT Strategic objectives. They will establish and maintain policies, tools, and processes to drive standard and lean practices across the Portfolio and leverage industry best practices. Working cross-organizationally, they drive acumen and help the IT Portfolio adhere to external standards and policies. Essential Responsibilities Operations Management:
Maintain and enforce support procedures. Maintain IT knowledge base information. Oversee, measure and assess performance of services provided by the team. Report performance outcomes and risks, with recommended actions. Lead efforts to identify and deploy continuous process improvement. Serve as an escalation point for service and/or problem resolution. Forecast and manage expenses to budget. Leadership:
Lead and manage the performance and development of staff. Lead priorities and manage work performance of staff and managed contractors. Provide leadership as needed across multiple sites, and in alignment with Union or other contracts. Service Lifecycle:
Manage demand for services as it pertains to IT Strategic priorities. Work cross-organizationally to ensure Capital investments have proper engagement from the team for delivery and operation. Subject Matter Expert:
Provide expert working knowledge of respective domain to team. Stays abreast of industry and technology trends. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position. Four years of prior people leadership experience. Seven years of related functional experience. Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets. Excellent Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results. Proficient experience and knowledge of the OSI Model. Demonstrated experience effectively managing system or equipment change deployment. Experience in the use of system monitoring tools. Strong time management skills, technical aptitude and analytical abilities. Able to work in accordance with service operation schedules. Familiarity with ITIL and/or other formal service management practices. Preferred Previous experience with software asset management. Experience with licensing, vendor management, and compliance. Experience managing multiple vendors and/or products During COVID-19 Pandemic this position may require the ability to temporarily work remote within the company service territory until company protocol dictates return to the office criteria has been met. Telecommuting Policy:
A plan has been created to officially rollout a hybrid work-from-home option that will take effect when it is safe to move forward to return to the workplace. This position will participate in this new policy.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
