What You'll Be Doing Support software integration and technical assessments of LCS, the LCS modernization effort and support for adding new GPS IIIF Space Vehicle capabilities Support regression testing and platform deployments for LCS mission software on the operational environment Observe contractor software installation of discrepancy report (DR) fixes, troubleshoot anomalies and witness formal system tests Perform the duties of a Lead Technical Advisor (LTA) to SMC Mission Directors during the GPS III and GPS IIIF Space Vehicle Launch and Early Orbit (LEO) missions, mission readiness campaigns and launch rehearsals, working very closely with a contractor counterpart and Aerospace satellite and control segment subject matter experts, to provide key recommendations needed to execute the LEO mission while assuring mission success Provide LCS subject matter expertise during GPS III and GPS IIIF space vehicle on-orbit checkouts, anomaly resolutions, failure review boards and Satellite Control Authority transfers from SMC to USSF Assess LCS LEO mission readiness and brief the results to Aerospace and Space Force senior leadership during Aerospace Senior Management and President's Reviews What You'll Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution Minimum of eight years of relevant, increasingly responsible professional engineering experience Experience maintaining an operational enterprise software and hardware-based ground system Familiarity with agile software development concepts History of successful leadership in a team setting Ability to support frequent local travel Currently holds a SECRET clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution Experience with satellite ground system operations Demonstrated experience supporting launch exercises, rehearsals and operations Prior program office experience Strong systems engineering experience Ability to review contractor software architectures/designs Ability to assess reliability, maintainability and availability (RMA) of software and hardware Understands the operational impact of human systems integration (HSI) designs. Superior leadership skills
Salary Range:
$80K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
