Relationship Manager VP - Venture Banking at Signature Bank in Denver, CO
Responsible for new business development and portfolio management activities in a specific region or industry focus. Primary responsibilities include:
Identifies deal opportunities to pursue, makes recommendations on credit structures and terms. Prepare debt term sheets, greenlight memos, and COMs. Directs interaction with Management Teams and Investors. Attends industry events in order to originate new business. Reviews existing borrower performance and loan compliance and making recommendations with regard to amendments, risk ratings, loan renewals and increases. Identifies treasury management opportunities to drive non interest income growth.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in commercial banking/lending, preferably venture banking/lending. Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, BBA, etc.) from four-year college or university. Understanding of venture capital ecosystem, venture capital fund structures, business models within the technology and life science industries. Understanding of venture lending industry and products, underwriting cash flow negative companies. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, ability to operate and make critical decisions in time sensitive situations, creativity, collaborative approach, team player, willingness to make difficult decisions. Strong writing skills, problem solving, critical thinking, negotiation, loan/deal structuring.
