About the Role The Chief of Staff to the CMO at Fivetran plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our marketing initiatives.
This position will have global responsibility, impacting the team's productivity, streamlining critical initiatives, and leading key marketing programs, all while communicating objectives inside and outside the organization.
The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and operates at tactical, strategic, and operational levels.

Act as a key strategic advisor to the CMO, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive marketing strategies forward.
Lead and drive alignment around global marketing strategy and objectives, setting clear goals and committed OKRs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Facilitate seamless collaboration across marketing teams and other departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and alignment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure awareness and accountability of action items, projects, and deliverables.
Operational Excellence:
Streamline processes, optimize workflows, and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing operations.
Organize large, often cross-functional organization-wide projects or initiatives to drive efficiency.
Data-Driven Insights:
Comfortable working with numbers, conducting budget analysis, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis around lead and sign-up funnels, and the downstream impact of marketing decisions.
Partner with Analytics to identify areas of improvement for reporting and drive results across the marketing function.
Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing regular updates and insights to the CMO to inform decision-making.
Project Management:
Lead and manage special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CMO, ensuring timely delivery and successful execution.
Utilize data and metrics to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
Communication Liaison:
Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the CMO, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
Drive key program communication through meetings, offsites, and email/slack, ensuring structured participation.
Collaborate with Finance to streamline and automate the budgeting process across marketing teams, driving efficiency and accountability.
Strategic Planning:
Assist in the development of marketing strategies, annual plans, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and priorities.
Lead marketing teams through annual planning in partnership with Finance and Operations teams, including building robust models and forecasting.
Talent Development:
Support the development and growth of marketing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Act as an organization expert, creating coherent plans from diverse inputs and facilitating decisions based on priorities.
Skills We're Looking For Proven experience (7-10 years) in a strategic or operational role supporting senior executives, preferably in a marketing or technology-driven organization.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results.
Proficiency in G Suite, especially spreadsheets; experience with project management tools and methodologies and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
