Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Practice Lead Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is a high-quality bus-based transit system that delivers fast and efficient service that may include dedicated lanes, busways, traffic signal priority, off-board fare collection, elevated platforms, and enhanced stations.
The HDR BRT Practice Group is co-sponsored and organized under the Transit and Highways & Roads market sectors and includes staff identified across HDR who bring relevant experience, expertise and best practices to the pursuit and delivery of BRT projects and other projects that enhance bus speed, reliability, and the customer riding experience The Practice Group will provide needed focus and resources to identify, capture and execute BRT opportunities primarily in the U.
Sand CanadaOther international opportunities will be considered on a case-by-case basis should they be consistent with HDR's overall business objectives, strategy, and risk profile.
BRT Practice Group Leader:
A BRT practice group leader will be appointed by the Transit and Highways & Roads market sector directors and will have overall responsibility for the following:
Identification of regional representatives from the Practice Group who will assist and serve as the local point for carrying out BRT program strategies and objectives Collaboration with Transit and Highways & Roads market sector leadership and Area BDLs to identify BRT clients and opportunities.
Support development of client management plans relative to BRT Meet with clients, as needed Participate in capture strategies and pursuits Provide input on recent and relevant qualifications for BRT proposals.
Evaluate competition for BRT contracts with input from local, national and global sources.
HDR industry engagement and visibility in BRT associations and committeesIdentify and encourage HDR staff to attend industry events and conferences.
Development of a BRT branding and marketing program with support of TBG marketing and communications staff.
Inventory and maintenance of a roster of multi-disciplinary staff resources with direct and/or related experience and background in BRT.
Cataloging BRT-related skillsets within HDR and identify gaps in coverage.
Providing support to area and project leadership with workshare strategies and mobilization of BRT practice group staff.
Providing arms-length quality and performance oversight of BRT practice group staff.
Engaging in staff recruitment to augment HDR's BRT service offering.
Maintaining an accounting of NFB and earnings attributable to BRT.
Organizing staff educational courses and BRT training opportunities, conduct BRT webinars.
Leading strategic working sessions at least annually to assess the market and update HDR strategies to capture market share.

The BRT practice encompasses the full suite of services HDR provides, including Planning, Engineering, Architectural, Systems, Facilities, Traffic Engineering, Zero Emissions Mobility and Roadway disciplines.
Advisory Services are also available in the early stages of BRT programs, relying on multiple cross sectors to add value to our clients as they define their programs.

00 - $215,410.
00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
