Job Description:
PURPOSE:
Provides support to the Human Resources Department and employees in the areas of recruiting, benefits, leave management, special projects, HRIS data entry and report generation.
This position serves to provide excellent customer service to our communities at various national locations.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel.
Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
Make recommendations to hiring managers.
Maintains job postings and sources candidates.
Coordinates background/drug screenings and E-Verify and manages the new hire process with PEO.
Develops offer letters for new hires, employee status change (ESC) forms for promotions, transfers and salary adjustments.
Provides support to employees for benefits; assists employees with enrollment of benefits and questions.
Tracks FMLA and other leaves.
Coordinates and manages Annual Open Enrollment Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Coordinates with PEO and the risk department as needed/required for issues surrounding Workers Comp and certain fair housing and/or field complaints.
Partners with Assistant VP of Ops on a daily basis.
Provides managers with evaluation due dates when requested and input into evaluation development and documentation generation.
Spearhead development for company culture committee.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a generalist role.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and understand when escalation is important.
Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.
Must be able to handle a variety of sensitive matters in a professional and confidential manner.
Team player who works collaboratively and effectively with others.
Ability to meet deadlines on a multitude of concurrent tasks, while maintaining attention to detail and integrity of work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must possess good presentation skills.
Must be able to communicate and build working relationships with all levels of employees.
Ability to multi-task, with excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to work in a flexible environment with shifting priorities.
Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED PHR certification preferred.
