CEI s innovative municipal Client is looking to add a Workday Business Systems Analyst to their team!Job at a glance:
The estimated time of engagement is approximately 18 months and will begin immediately after the consultant is selected.
Maximum of 40 hours per week.
The pay range is $50-60/hr.

Will be mostly remote (roughly 90% of the time or more), but there may be times when we bring the vendor on-site for specific workshops and/or problem-solving We re seeking candidates who have experience with Government Financials implementation in Workday Business Systems Analyst - Workday Financials ERP ImplementationOverview:
The Client requires assistance from a consultant who will be responsible for effectively managing and communicating Client needs during the Workday Financials ERP implementation.
The consultant will support the Client s Project Management Office, the Client ERP Project Steering Committee, as well as our financial and information technology teams, in this effort.
Success in this role is measured by achieving a strong alignment of expectations among the Client project team, external implementation partners, and the Workday Delivery Assurance representative with the goal of maximizing value and customer satisfaction throughout the Workday Financials implementation process.

Responsibilities:
In coordination with the Client s Project Management Office - Analyzing, understanding and representing the Client s interests for the entirety of the ERP Phase 2 Financial System Implementation.
In collaboration with the Client project team, this includes the following phases:
gathering requirements, development of the project schedule, development of the statement of work, milestones, and deliverables, contract negotiations, and the implementation of all Workday Financials modules.
Advocate on behalf of the Client with the Implementer Project Manager regarding issues and concerns that may occur during the implementation process such as performance issues with Implementation Project staff.
Assist Client project staff in understanding proposed configurations, including FDM design, to ensure they meet Client business objectives.
Ensure the proposed configurations are the best solution for the Client, not just best practice according to Workday.
Ensuring successful execution of the Project Work Plan in collaboration with Client and Implementer Project Managers.
Assess the current state, identify gaps in the current plan, develop schedule for completion.
Escalate to Project Managers for incorporation to the project plan.
Coordinate with project managers to assign responsibilities to project participants based on escalations or developing issues.
Report to the Client on the overall effectiveness of implementation, project schedule management, end to end and parallel testing, quality assurance and go live readiness.
Assist in establishing deadlines and evaluation milestones and advising Clientstaff on appropriateness of sign off on project milestones and deliverables.
Maintain the business perspective when defining how the project team will deliver an effective Workday solution that meets Client business requirements and satisfies Client expectations of a high quality implementation.
Keeping informed on Workday financial system best practices and upcoming releases.
Propose configuration changes and system solutions to the Client and the Implementer Project Manager based upon this knowledge.
Assist with tracking and status of the various workstreams (e.
g.
, critical path, milestones, key activities, percent complete).
Identify and recognize the Workday application touchpoints and aid in the change management and testing processes.
Assist in determining if end to end tests, parallel tests, and user acceptance tests produce accurate data and processes are functioning as required to meet business operational needs.
Manage the issue and key decision log.
Escalate issues and potential risks to the Steering Committee that may impact the go-live date.
Lead Steering Committee meetings.
This role may assist the IT Department with Customer Success activities in additional areas as time and capacity allows.
The Workday ERP project will be the first priority for this role.
Job
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in information technology or business administration, or related field.
Master s degree preferred.

years of project implementation experience in Workday with 3
years of project implementation experience in similar Workday Government Financials implementations.
2-3 years of Government based Workday Financials experience, including Workday Financials Business Process configuration experience.
Workday Pro Certified preferred.
Customer Success Management certification desired, experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of project delivery fundamentals, process design, project estimation, budgeting, and ability to do project risk assessment and mi ga on.
Expert understanding of the risks, issues, and systems implementation and integration challenges in large-scale, multi-phase projects is essential.
Knowledge and experience delivering large, complex projects, or multiple medium sized projects that span multiple systems and business areas that are dependent on each other.
Experienced in gathering requirements from users and proposing alternative designs and configurations.
Ability to clearly translate conceptual business requirements into Workday functional requirements.
Expert in developing a detailed project implementation plan to monitor and track progress, and capable of adapting to change in project scope and schedule.
Competent in coordinating and tracking deliverables for a Workday implementation.
Experienced in working with business stakeholders to diagnostically research and effectively resolve business process issues.
Proficient at measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Experienced in creating documentation to support knowledge transfer and utilization of implemented solutions.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Experienced in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
A combination of relevant education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum education and experience requirements.
