This position will provide a wide range of analytical and support functions to the portfolio managers (PM's) in the investment department.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaborate with the research team to produce proactive analysis on companies and industries.
Keep current on industry-related news flow.
Analyze implications of news/industry developments to companies under coverage.
Contribute concepts and ideas for client-facing content and thought leadership.
Work closely with our portfolio managers to drive client engagement through product and capital market updates, support materials including commentaries, presentation books and various marketing and communication pieces.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to assist in a high quality investment product content creation and distribution.
Provide and update customized asset allocation analytics and advise on Portfolio Construction and Strategy.
Research industry standard methodologies surrounding portfolio construction, understand risk metrics and trends and be prepared to articulate findings to the investment committee.
Stay current on capital markets and industry trends to further subject matter expertise in portfolio strategy.
Conduct screening analysis and due diligence on third party investment managers, utilizing investment tools and software to assess performance and measure risk.
Assist senior staff in monitoring investments by meeting with investment managers or portfolio specialists.
Monitor investments, calculate performance attribution and be able explain the portfolio results.
Build and maintain relationships with external investment managers and research representatives.
Assist with year-end tax planning and facilitate trading through our Trade Order Management software.
Perform trade analysis considering trading costs, tax implications, market impact and other considerations.
Create spreadsheets and charts, maintain databases and assist in writing departmental reports.
Prepare and edit Investment Policy Committee correspondence, reports, and presentations.
Build and understand complex financial models.
Perform complex financial analysis of assets, economics, etc.
with minimal oversight.
Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs.
Package analytic insights into executive ready presentations for senior management.
Organize and maintain large quantities of electronic and paper file data.
Salary Range:
$65,000 - $90,000.

Compensation may vary based on applicant's experience and education.

Requirements Bachelor Degree in a business related field, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics with a minimum GPA of 3.

Working knowledge of investment products and financial markets.
Experience using Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Orion Advisor Solutions, Envestnet Tamarac.
Minimum of 1-3 years working in the financial services industry in the investment arena.
Strong customer service skills and demonstrated financial acumen in the areas of investment products and services.
Work well as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, be flexible and prioritize in a fast paced environment, and to work under tight deadlines.

Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI a plus.
Experience using Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg (and related Excel API), Orion Advisor Solutions, Envestnet Tamarac.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
