Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an engineering addition to the RAN Technology Planning team to support the DISH Wireless 5G Radio Frequency (RF) National team for our 5G network technology roadmap.
The successful candidate will join a team of engineers focused on technical objectives and goals of the business as it relates to operational readiness related to the evolution of the network.
This role will work closely with many engineering, technology, and operations functions in the organization to align the network planning and performance activities.
The RAN Planning team functions within the broader team of Network Development & Integration, developing major goals to support broader functional objectives.
This role coordinates with other National teams to develop network plans and policies within various functions in the organization.
The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in a variety of the wireless field's concepts, practices and procedures.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
? Develop RAN technology performance impact assessments and implementation plans? Create RAN performance targets? Work closely with various functional organizations on subscriber and business demand forecasts? Work with various network teams to create multi-year end to end technology roadmap and feature requirements that includes RAN, Core and Transport platforms? Secure spectrum deployment plan, both current and future? Work closely with National RF Engineering team on RF coverage and throughput scenario assessments, spectrum utilization forecasts, and traffic management policies? Develop competitive benchmarking performance and analysis Skills, Experience and Requirements? Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Wireless Systems Engineering.
? 5 or more years of wireless operational experience, E2E network planning preferred? Knowledge of radio access technologies, and device technologies and wireless spectrum? Knowledge of wireless spectrum including capabilities, limitations and FCC requirements? Good understanding of RAN, Core, IP Network and cloud computing and implementation? Understanding of network benchmarking approaches and alternatives? Demonstrable experience in automating planning and performance activities ? Demonstrable experience in network modeling and network analytics? Good understanding of full lifecycle management of technology in wireless networks ? Good understanding of mobile network operator and deployment architecture, and security requirements? Candidate must have a strong written and oral communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities Salary Range Compensation:
$100,100.
00/Year - $143,000.

The base pay range shown is a guideline.
Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
