month contract roleOverview Our client who is medical device organizationis seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Supplier Quality Engineer in the Lakewood Quality organization for a 6-9 month assignment.
This individual will work in a Supplier Quality capacity responsible for improving supplier process reliability, repeatability, controls, and resolution of quality issues.
This also may include process controls, project management, process validation and verification, process improvement, supplier management, non-conformance investigations, and SCAR/CAPA investigations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for resolution of supplier related quality issues pertaining to components in support of the Lakewood Operations.
Tasks include NC and SCAR management with direct communication with suppliers.
Supporting supplier quality, materials that come in through QA.
Dealing with test and measurement failures, plastic tubing, etc.
Handling supplier issues and non-conformances.
Day to day support of factories that use the parts.
Supplier evaluations and support on integration with external suppliers.
Supports relationships with key suppliers and acts as the Point of Contact for resolution of technical issues and concerns for managing supplier quality performance.
Area of concentration includes but is not limited to manufacturing principles, plastics, Injection Molding, Extrusion, Thermoforming and RF Welding, and other supplied parts.
Re-evaluates supplier performance through scorecard process and other tools.
Ability to interpret technical requirements and processes such as drawings, parts, test results for receiving quality and resolve discrepancies in a well-documented manner.
Owns and leads multiple projects to improve quality with a Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement mindset for understanding problems, improving, and controlling outcomes.
Performs Data analysis and presents concisely to appropriate cross functional groups.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of a variety of factors and significant cross-functional interaction.
Becomes a subject matter expert in the area and is accessible and sought out for consultation of projects.
Provides various product, process and factory support for technical reviews, documentation, change control, non-conformances, and continuous improvement projects.
Ability to travel and audit and qualify suppliers as business needs.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
Mechanical, Industrial, or Biomedical preferred Minimum 1-2 years' experience, with medical device experience preferred 2 years of GMP experience Utilizes statistical methods to analyze and present data to a variety of audiences within the business Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to technical problems, makes appropriate decisions, and meets time constraint Strong technical problem-solving skills in mechanical elements and ability to communicate and come to solutions across a breadth of products and processes Benefits System One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, and participation in a 401(k) plan.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
