We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor in our Golden, Colorado office. You will be an integral member of the Corporate Finance and Accounting (F&A;) team responsible for monthly close, financial reporting and analysis, and review of internal controls. This position reports to the Assistant Controller. Job
Responsibilities: Prepare, review and record journal entries Execute month-end close process Draft financial statements and accounting reports Preparation of complex reconciliations and review of other account reconciliations Oversee fixed assets accounting Monitor intercompany activities and reconcile intercompany accounts Administer foreign currency conversion for foreign subsidiary and consolidate with parent company Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure Supervise GL department's day-to-day operations, work assignments to meet set deadlines, hiring, training, performance reviews, among others Ensure adherence to internal controls in accordance with company policy Challenge, improve and implement process and procedure efficiencies and documentation Research and provide guidance regarding accounting matters Assist in implementation of new accounting standards Participate in provision of support and coordination of internal and external audit Interface with all levels of Operations, Corporate, and Accounting personnel on a regular basis Review sales tax returns and property tax returns Desired Skills and
Experience: 5-7 years in financial accounting with supervisory experience Knowledge and experience in engineering or professional service environment a plus BA/BS Accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and proper accounting procedures Strong PC and MS Office suite skills with an emphasis on advanced working experience in Excel Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and reliability Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem solving skills Preferred
Qualifications: Active CPA license Combination of public/private accounting experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
