Brown and Caldwell, a nationally recognized environmental engineering and consulting firm, has an opportunity for an Accountant I in our Golden/Lakewood, CO office. This Accountant I will be a member of the Corporate Finance and Accounting team and should be team player able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following items: Audit/process high volumes of expense reports Assist in research and resolution of expense report questions Communicate with employees regarding expense report discrepancies, support and processing and reimbursement status Scan documents into imaging system and file expense reports upon reimbursement Review, analyze and process incoming expense report mail Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Accounts Payable 10-key experience with ability to key high volume with minimal errors Working knowledge of integrated Accounts Payable systems Strong client service orientation Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Strong PC skills - ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs Experience in Microsoft OfficeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
