Election Judge- Have you ever wondered what it's like to help with an official election? Are you a registered Denver County voter who isinterested in helping ensure that the process is the best possible? Are you bi-lingualand have some time to exercise those skills during an election? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Denver Elections Division has opportunities available for you to serve as an election judge. Denver election judges perform a wide range of tasks: using computer databases, processing ballots, transporting supplies to voting sites, and much more. Our election judge assignments are diverse and can add an exciting new aspect to your civic engagement experience.
All election judges are registered electors appointed by the County Clerk and Recorder or by a designated elected official who perform election-related duties.All Denver election judges serve on behalf of the Denver Elections Division and act as a representative of the City and County of Denver.These individuals provide support leading up to, during and following elections. When & Where:
Voter Service and Polling Centerpositions are assigned at locations throughout the city and areMonday -Saturday.The date range of these positions will be from October 20th until November 4th (Election Day).A few positions will start on October 13th.Thehours may vary by assignment but are generally from 10:00am until 6:00pm, 10:00am until 2:00pm on Saturdays, and 7:00am until 7:00pm on Election Day.
Ballot processing and voter registrationpositions are located at the Denver Elections Division Officein downtown Denver (200 West 14th Avenue, Suite 100, Denver, CO 80204). While the times of most assignments fall within the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday - Friday, the hours and days can vary based on the assignment.We seek individuals with as much flexibility in their schedules as possible.

Responsibilities:
Election judges perform a variety of support roles during the elections process which may include the following:
Voter Service and Polling Center Judge
Ballot Processing Judge
Voter Registration Judge
Elections Management Assistant
Ballot Security Team
Voter Service and Polling Center Judge: Responsible for conducting elections in compliance with election laws and rules. Voter service and polling centers provide the following services for voters: ballot boxes for returned mail ballots, drive-through drop-off ballot boxes, replacement ballots, voter registration, touch screen voting machines, in-person paper ballots and provisional ballots.
Ballot Processing Judge: Work with a team to process and count ballots at the Denver Elections Division.
Voter Registration Judge: Enter voter registration data into SCORE (State of Colorado Registration and Elections system).
Elections Management Assistant: Provide administrative support to the Elections Division before, during, and after an election. These assignments encompass a variety of duties associated with the elections process.
Ballot Security Team: Prepare and distribute election supplies for voter service and polling centers, pick up and drop off ballot boxes during voter service and polling center operation, troubleshoot problems and distribute supplies as necessary.
Qualifications:
Requirements to qualify as an Election Judge:
Live in Denver County
Beregistered, or eligible to register, to vote in Denver County
Faborably pass a criminal history check
Attend the required (paid) trainings based on your assignment
Able to work well within a team
Able to handle deadlines and stressful situation
Cannot be ralated (to the 2nd degree) to a candidate on the ballotEducation:Some positions may require a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Experience:Some positions may require the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook/Email).
Preferred:
Elections experience is desirable, but notrequired.
Bi-lingual individuals are definitely encouraged to apply, particularly if you are English-Spanish speaking.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
